Editorial Reviews:

Vic Firth now offers the perfect solution - the newly released Stereo Isolation Headphones. These isolation headphones are designed to protect musicians from the high sound levels associated with their instruments. Prolonged exposure to these excessive levels of noise can have traumatic and lasting effects, including hearing fatigue, tinnitus and permanent hearing loss.

Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent product Comment: I'm really pleased with the product. Isolates a LOT of outside noise and are really comfortable. Not as comfortable as some sites advertise but really good.
The only thing I really didn't care for is that the cable is attached to the headset. Sometimes I just want to reduce drumset noise and the cable is there bugging me. And what's worse, if the cable gets damaged, it's going to be difficult to change.
One other thing is that the damn plug doesn't fit in my iphone!!!. But that's mac's fault not vic firth's.
All in all, great product. Definitely a good purchase. Hope it helps
Customer Rating: Summary: awesome headsets for the money Comment: i bought these noise-canceling headsets to wear when drumming. they drown out just enough sound while allowing me drum and listen to my music. for 49.99 this are great headsets
Customer Rating: Summary: Exceptionally comfortable, shortish cable Comment: Unbelievably comfortable headphones (waaaaay better than the Metrophones), especially for the price. My only two gripes are that the cable is a bit short (it will only get down to about your waist, which means unless the sound source is at that level or damned close to you, an extension cable is a must. Also, considering I've had plenty of cables fail on me over the years, I'm a bit apprehensive about the fact that the cable is hardwired directly into the ear cup. If the cable goes, so do the headphones...
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Comment: These headphones are perfect for drum set. They allow you to listen to music while playing. You won't need to turn the music up to a really high decibel level. The only thing that could make them better is to have the quality of music being listened to better. A metronome works great with these headphones. They are a must have for every drum set player.
Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Headphones for Noisy Office Comment: How does an ADHD adult maintain focus in a busy, high-tech work environment? Soothing music is part of the fix. Active noise cancelling headphones? I've tried and replaced several...but they either sound badly, are prone to electrical/mechanical problems, or both. What to do? Vic Firth and Direct Sound have effective and durable answers. Isolation headphones. I own and use them both. The Direct Sound phones block a bit more noise...the Vic Firth are more comfortable for extended wearing. Both have very good sound quality. As good as a $500 Grado set? No. Good enough to hear the difference between an SACD played through vacuum tubes and the same disc played through exemplary solid state? Yes. You either understand this benchmark or you do not (gentle smile). Enjoy!
